The Los Angeles Al-Impics Host Planning Committee is holding a contest to determine the 2020 Al-Impics theme. The winning theme will be used on team uniforms, banners, the official event program, website and other event material. The winner will also be recognized during the Opening Ceremony. The Theme contest winner will be required to sign a release of information waiver.

THE AL-IMPICS THEME IS A CENTRAL UNIFYING FACTOR AROUND THE VARIOUS PARTICIPATING  AGENCIES AND INDIVIDUALS.

Past themes include: Feeling Alive in 2005, Life is a Gift 2006, Dancing to the Tune of Recovery 2008, Where Miracles Shine 2009, The Power of Dreams 2010, Unity in the Community 2011, Join the Dance of Life 2012, Breaking the Chains of Addiction: Mind, Body and Spirit 2014, Traveling the Road of Recovery 2015, Courage to Change 2016, The Power of Dreams 2017, In the midst of it all “HOPE”, and Experience a New Freedom. Overcoming-empowering-thriving 2020. Erase the Stigma Embrace the Change 2021
